On a cool December morning in Little Rock, Arkansas, the local music scene was silenced by an act of violence. Terry Charles 'TC' Edwards, a 43-year-old Black / African American male musician, was found dead on December 7, 2014. His body was discovered in the carport of a residence at 2221 Howard Street, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. Edwards, a beloved and well-known figure in the community, was the frontman for the metal band TC & The Eddies and was a familiar face at local venues like
Pizza D'Action, where he had performed on the night of his death.
The hours leading up to the discovery of his body were ordinary for the dedicated musician. After finishing a show at Pizza D'Action, Edwards was walking home, a routine journey that ended in tragedy at an abandoned house on Howard Street. Little Rock police were called to the location around 4:00 a.m. for a security check, where they found Edwards. The news of his homicide sent shockwaves through the tight-knit music and arts community that had embraced him as the 'Stifft Station Saint.'
In the aftermath, the Little Rock Police Department launched an investigation into the city's 40th homicide of the year. Despite their efforts, an immediate suspect was not identified. Investigators considered a pending criminal case in which Edwards had been the victim of a robbery, but no direct link to his murder was established. In the years that have followed, the case has grown cold. No arrests have been made, and no one has been charged in connection with the murder of Terry 'TC' Edwards.
The community continues to mourn the loss of the talented and compassionate friend they considered family. To keep his memory alive and in the hope of finding justice, friends and supporters have held fundraisers and memorial events. The city of Little Rock even proclaimed February 17, 2020, which would have been his 49th birthday, as 'TC Edwards Day.' A substantial reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case, a testament to the lasting impact he had on his community and the continued search for answers in his unsolved murder.
