In the quiet woods near the Cossatot River, northwest of Lockesburg, Arkansas, a devastating incident unfolded on November 14, 2015. Layne Woods, a 16-year-old White/Caucasian male, was fatally injured in what was determined to be a tragic hunting accident. A sophomore at De Queen High School, Layne was known for his passion for the outdoors, particularly duck hunting, as well as his involvement in football and baseball.
