In the spring of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Devontae Dewayne Fowler was cut tragically short in Jonesboro, Arkansas. On the evening of April 25th, chaos erupted in the 800 block of South Caraway Road as shots were fired. Fowler was struck by the gunfire, sustaining a critical injury. First responders rushed him to a local hospital where he was placed on life support due to a traumatic brain injury.

The following day, on April 26, 2018, he was removed from life support and pronounced deceased. His death was officially ruled a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Jonesboro Police Department.
