On the evening of November 30, 2018, 37-year-old Leon Mitchell Jr. was fatally shot in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. near West Charles Bussey Avenue and South Park Street. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 22-year-old man also sustained gunshot wounds and was reported to be in serious condition. Witnesses reported seeing the shooter flee the area in a red sport utility vehicle.
