In the early morning hours of July 17, 2025, a sense of unease settled over a neighborhood in Little Rock, Arkansas, as police responded to reports of a shooting. In the 7700 block of Morris Drive, a grim discovery was made. Nineteen-year-old Tarell Rice Jr., a male, was found suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alongside the young man, a 42-year-old
woman, identified as Tina Williams, was also found with gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The Little Rock Police Department's Homicide Detectives were called to the scene to begin the arduous task of piecing together the events that led to the deadly shooting.
