On April 29, 2020, at approximately 2:19 p.m., Searcy Police Department officers responded to a report of gunfire on Randall Drive in Searcy, Arkansas. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Eric Kalas lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Kalas was immediately transported to Unity Health Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
