On the evening of May 20, 2020, Pine Bluff police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 4300 block of South Olive Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Jeremy Thompson slumped over in a vehicle, having sustained apparent gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
