On a late summer evening in Magnolia, Arkansas, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace near the Fox Creek Apartments. It was approximately 10:30 PM on September 11, 2021, when officers from the Magnolia Police Department were dispatched to the scene following reports of shots fired. There, behind one of the apartment buildings, they discovered 27-year-old Jofflin Brown, a Black / African American male, lying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound.
