Ryan Kennedy, a 43-year-old resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was reported missing after last being seen on January 7, 2022, near Farr Shores Bay. His disappearance prompted concern among family and friends, leading to a search for his whereabouts.
On March 7, 2022, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers from the Hot Springs Police Department responded to a report of human remains discovered in an open field along Carpenter Dam Road.
Upon investigation, the remains were identified as those of Ryan Kennedy. The Arkansas State Crime Lab conducted an autopsy, concluding that Kennedy's death was a homicide.
Following an investigation, authorities identified 18-year-old Damonte Walters of Henderson, Texas, as a suspect in Kennedy's death. Walters was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He was held at the Garland County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
