In the spring of 2022, the life of 31-year-old ShaQueena Shermaine Wilson, a Black female known affectionately to her loved ones as 'Pig,' was tragically cut short. On the evening of April 17th, Wilson was at the 50/50 Club, a nightclub in her hometown of Forrest City, Arkansas, when a seemingly minor incident escalated into deadly violence. According to reports, another woman bumped into Wilson, causing a drink to spill.
This led to a verbal dispute that quickly turned into a physical fight near the club's exit. In the chaos that followed, Wilson was shot twice. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for her injuries but ultimately did not survive.
The Forrest City Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting. Their efforts eventually pointed to Mircale Bills, a 31-year-old resident of Memphis, Tennessee, as the primary suspect in Wilson's death. More than a year and a half later, on December 8, 2023, a warrant was officially issued for Bills's arrest, charging her with first-degree murder and aggravated assault for her alleged role in the fatal shooting. The search for Bills extended beyond state lines, with U.S. Marshals in the Eastern District of Arkansas developing information in early January 2024 that suggested she was residing in Memphis.
The pursuit of justice for ShaQueena Shermaine Wilson saw a significant development on February 28, 2024. On that day, U.S. Marshals, in collaboration with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team, located Mircale Bills at a business on Covington Pike in Memphis. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Shelby County Jail. Bills is currently awaiting extradition back to Arkansas to face the charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death of ShaQueena Shermaine Wilson.
