In the summer of 2011, a promising life was tragically cut short in Scottsdale, Arizona. On August 17th, 24-year-old Vanessa Smith Klein, a female who had moved from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was killed in a violent encounter that stunned the community. The events of that evening unfolded at the residence of her 60-year-old boyfriend, Steven C. Lester.
