On November 19, 2024, at approximately 7:55 p.m., Dallas police responded to a disturbance call in the 1900 block of Riverway Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 69-year-old Veronica Lopez deceased at the scene, appearing to have been shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced her dead upon arrival.
