On December 8, 2024, 27-year-old Demetrius Marr-Woods, known to many as Marquel, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Cloud 9 Bar in Kent, Washington. The King County Medical Examiner's Office determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds, ruling his death a homicide.
