In the late hours of May 18, 2017, the quiet of a Tempe, Arizona apartment complex was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police responded to the scene at the Garden Grove Apartment Homes, they discovered a car with its engine still running. Inside, they found the bodies of 20-year-old DeSean Estrada and 16-year-old Kayon Williams. Both had been fatally shot. Estrada was in the driver's seat, and Williams was in the front passenger seat.
