Jonathan L. Williams, a 25-year-old African-American man, died on July 18, 2014, in Tempe, Arizona, following a confrontation with a police officer. The fatal encounter took place at a motel located at 1612 N Scottsdale Rd.

Reports indicate that Williams was involved in an altercation with an officer from the Tempe Police Department. During this incident, Williams allegedly discharged a firearm at the officer. The officer returned fire, striking Williams. He succumbed to his injuries on t ...
