On March 20, 2015, Adrian Salazar, 44, of Tempe, Arizona, was fatally shot while driving south on Scottsdale Road. The incident occurred when a firearm discharged inside the vehicle, striking Salazar in the head and causing his car to collide with another at the intersection of Scottsdale and McKellips roads.
