On a Thanksgiving evening in Tempe, Arizona, a burst of gunfire shattered the holiday peace at an apartment complex near Washington Street and Priest Drive. When police arrived around 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2024, they discovered a grim scene. Twenty-four-year-old Anthony Carlos, a male, was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who was also shot was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
