On December 12, 2024, 48-year-old Oren Drakes was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred during a family dispute in a residence located in the far north of the city. According to reports, Drakes was involved in an altercation with his stepson, who had previously been asked to leave the home. The stepson allegedly returned to the residence, leading to a confrontation that resulted in Drakes being shot.
