On November 30, 2024, at approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a weapons violation report in the 1500 block of East Green Springs Road in Parkton, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 20-year-old Brandon Tyler "Tater" Deal, a resident of Hope Mills, lying along the roadside near homes that had sustained gunfire damage.
