On December 12, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a distress call reporting a shooting at Hometown Studios, a motel located on Mobile Drive in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals deceased inside a motel room. The victims were identified as 38-year-old Susan Marie Gonzalez and 32-year-old Sherman Armand Sims, both residents of Spartanburg.
