In the early morning hours of a Sunday in November 2024, a mother returned home from work to a devastating discovery. Her 24-year-old daughter, Arianna Doyle, was found shot to death inside her bedroom in their West Tulsa home. The two had spoken on the phone just hours earlier, discussing their upcoming Thanksgiving plans. Investigators determined that several shots had been fired from outside the house, striking Doyle.
The initial stages of the investigation proved challenging for
Tulsa police due to the time of day and a lack of witnesses in the area. Despite the difficulties, detectives were determined to find those responsible for the young mother's death. They described the investigation as a 'marathon' rather than a 'sprint,' but expressed confidence that they were making significant headway. The case was the 47th homicide in Tulsa that year, and at the time, it was the only one without an arrest.
A crucial breakthrough in the case came in January 2025. Following an anonymous tip, the Tulsa Police Department's Fugitive Warrants Unit located and arrested 19-year-old Tyreek Randle. He was taken into custody at an apartment near 15th and Sheridan and booked into the Tulsa County Jail. Another suspect, Charles Basham, was also taken into custody. Both Randle and Basham have been charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with the death of Arianna Doyle.
