In the early hours of a Friday morning in Oklahoma City, a simmering feud tragically boiled over, leaving a young man dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Timothy Emmanuel Brown. The male victim, who was Black, was fatally shot on November 29, 2024.
The confrontation unfolded around 2 a.m. in a residential area near Southeast 44th Street and Sunnylane Road.
Brown had reportedly gone to a home in the 3800 block of Hiddleston Circle, where a dispute with the occupants escalated. According to police reports, as Brown approached the house, he was confronted by several people who came out of the residence.
The argument intensified, leading to gunfire. One of the individuals from the home, identified as 21-year-old Ladarius James Crutchfield, allegedly fired multiple rounds at Brown. Brown was struck by the gunfire and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident was recorded as the 74th homicide in Oklahoma City for 2024.
Following the shooting, Crutchfield remained at the scene and was later arrested. He was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of second-degree murder. Authorities have indicated that the ongoing feud between two friend groups was the catalyst for the deadly encounter. The case has been presented to the District Attorney's office, which will determine the final charges.
