Death by Force

On December 17, 2024, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3000 block of Perennial Terrace, near North Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Raymone Devine Flakes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported Flakes to Novant Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
