A young woman is attacked and killed in broad daylight in her boyfriend's home
On May 4, 2007, 19-year-old Brittany Danielle McGlone was found brutally murdered in her boyfriend's home in Winnsboro, Texas. After completing her overnight shift at Lowe's Distribution Center in Mount Vernon, she went to her boyfriend's residence to rest. Later that day, she was discovered bludgeoned to death in his bed, having also been sexually assaulted.
The initial investigation faced challenges, with no arrests made for over 15 years. In September 2022, authorities arrested Chad Earl Carr in connection with the case. However, by December 2022, a grand jury declined to indict him due to insufficient evidence, and he was released.
Brittany's family has remained steadfast in their pursuit of justice. They have organized rallies, maintained a social media presence, and collaborated with media outlets to keep her case in the public eye. Despite the setbacks, they continue to advocate for a resolution, urging anyone with information to come forward.
