Tenisha Mallett, a 21-year-old woman from Chicago, was fatally shot on February 11, 2017, in the Austin neighborhood of the city. The shooting occurred in the evening as Tenisha was standing outside with a group. The gunfire erupted, leaving her and several others wounded. Despite the response from emergency services, Tenisha succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
