Rodjzae Funches-Heard, a 26-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on October 18, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. According to reports, a male suspect followed Funches-Heard to a vehicle after an argument and fired shots at her in the 7500 block of South Emerald Avenue. She was shot in the chest and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
