Following the shooting, the man sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Both women were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Tragically, the 32-year-old woman, identified as Joycelyn Fikes, succumbed to her injuries. The 53-year-old woman remained in critical condition. The alleged shooter was also taken to the same medical facility and was reported to be in critical condition.
