On December 11, 2024, a violent incident occurred in Glasgow Village, a community in North St. Louis County, Missouri, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Deonte Lavon Anderson. Shortly after midnight, at approximately 12:07 a.m., officers from the St. Louis County Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 200 block of Estridge Road.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds: Anderson and an adult female who was pregnant at the time.
First responders transported both individuals to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to save him, Anderson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the medical facility. The female victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, and medical personnel confirmed that her unborn child was unharmed during the attack. The St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons assumed control of the homicide investigation, canvassing the area for evidence and potential witnesses.
As of the last available reports following the incident, authorities had not announced any arrests or identified specific suspects in connection with the shooting. Police continued to appeal to the public for information, urging anyone with knowledge of the event to contact investigators or CrimeStoppers. Deonte Anderson, a 2021 graduate of the Normandy School District, was remembered by his family and friends for his outgoing personality and love for athletics. He left behind a network of grieving relatives, including his parents and siblings, as well as an expectant daughter.
