On the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, authorities in Jackson, Mississippi, initiated a homicide investigation following a grim discovery at a local nightlife establishment. Capitol Police officers were dispatched to Club Paradise, located in the 1800 block of Mill Street, just before 9:45 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials found the body of 55-year-old Black male John Blackmon inside the venue.
