On November 22, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., 26-year-old Andre Lorenzo Mitchell of Minneapolis was fatally shot in St. Paul's Summit-University neighborhood. He was seated in a parked vehicle on the 600 block of Aurora Avenue, accompanied by another man and two young children, an infant and a toddler. A small, dark-colored vehicle, possibly an SUV, drove by and fired multiple shots, striking Mitchell in the upper body.
