On December 18, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM, 31-year-old Rakib Rakib, a convenience store employee from Temple Hills, Maryland, was fatally shot outside a business in the 6700 block of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights. According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, Rakib was taking out the trash when he was approached by 25-year-old Geonte McNeil-Williams of Upper Marlboro.
