On December 21, 2024, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Prince George's County Police responded to reports of a shooting near Walker Mill Road and Karen Boulevard in District Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Jacquis Frye of Capitol Heights in the roadway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Frye was pronounced dead at the scene.
