On November 24, 2024, Robert Lee Richmond Jr., aged 69, and his wife, Janice Colleen Richmond, aged 67, were discovered deceased in their residence at 718 Wild Pine Court in Springville, Iowa. Both individuals appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds. The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 4 p.m. and confirmed the deaths. The victims were subsequently transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for autopsies.
