On the evening of February 12, 2021, in Iowa City, Iowa, the life of 19-year-old Quincy H. Russom, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. Inside an apartment on South Governor Street, what began as a robbery escalated into the city's first homicide of the year. Witnesses reported that three men entered the residence, and during the commission of the crime, Quincy Russom was fatally shot. The assailants then fled the scene.
