On December 11, 2024, 17-year-old DeJohn Garrett was fatally shot in an alley in the South Chicago neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and authorities responded promptly to the scene. Despite efforts to save him, Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
