Corey Buckner, aged 17, was fatally shot on August 7, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred during a particularly violent summer for the city, with Corey becoming one of several young victims of gun violence that weekend. The shooting took place in the South Side area, where Corey was reported to have been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.
