Ely Martinez, a 55-year-old man, was fatally shot in a warehouse on the Northwest Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the 1800-block of North Kostner Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood.
Martinez was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Ely Martinez.
