In the quiet moments of a Sunday evening in Milledgeville, Georgia, the life of 25-year-old Keishonna Mone Todd, a Black female, was tragically cut short. On December 15, 2024, after spending several hours at a local hair salon, she was fatally shot multiple times in what authorities have described as a targeted and personal attack. The incident occurred at approximately 9:06 p.m.
in the parking lot of Twisted D's Salon on Allen Memorial Drive.
Deputies from the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene to find Todd lying on the ground, unconscious, with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention and being transported to Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin, she succumbed to her injuries. Investigators believe the assailant lay in wait for Todd to exit the salon, characterizing the shooting as an 'ambush-style' attack and an 'assassination.' A witness who was with Todd at the time reported that a shooter dressed in all black emerged from behind the building and opened fire. Fortunately, the witness was not injured in the attack.
As of late 2025, nearly a year after her death, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Keishonna Mone Todd, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, continues to investigate the homicide.
