On November 22, 2024, at approximately 4:18 p.m., Montgomery Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of West South Boulevard, just east of Interstate 65. Upon arrival, they discovered Maurice Walker, a 44-year-old man from North Carolina, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
