In the summer of 2025, a young man’s life was cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. Javon Holmes, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The incident that claimed his life unfolded on Mill Street, just a short distance from where Day Street intersects with Interstate 65.

Following the shooting, the Montgomery Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Holmes's death. As of late July 2025, authorities had not publicly identified any suspects or made an ...
