On December 10, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., 75-year-old Christopher Lee Smith was found deceased in his residence on the 8200 block of Jackson Avenue in Leeds, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting, Leeds Police Department officers discovered Smith had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
