In the early morning hours of December 10, 2024, the quiet community of Leeds, Alabama, was disturbed by an act of violence that claimed the life of a well-regarded resident. Christopher Lee Smith, a 75-year-old male, was found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a residence on Jackson Avenue.
