On December 11, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., 37-year-old Cornelius Terell Smith was fatally shot at the Forrester Gardens Apartments, located at 1350 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Responding officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department found Smith suffering from a gunshot wound; he was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
