On February 20, 2023, Samuel Banks, aged 47, was fatally shot at approximately 6:20 p.m. while visiting his wife at her workplace, a restaurant located in the 14000 block of Homestead Road in northeast Harris County, Texas. An argument ensued between Banks and two men, during which one of the men drew a handgun and shot Banks. The assailants fled the scene in separate vehicles.
