On March 9, 2024, at approximately 3:55 a.m., Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported vehicle crash in the 15100 block of Golden Eagle Drive near Humble, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered 17-year-old Darnell "DC" Cotton deceased in the driver's seat of a black sedan, having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
