On April 10, 2023, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a reported shooting in the 1800 block of Elgie Street in Beaumont, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered that several individuals had been present in the residence when a group of unknown black males perpetrated a home invasion. During the incident, gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the deaths of two residents: 32-year-old Ahmad Hayden, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 31-year-old Roven Dotson, who was tran ...
