On May 8, 2023, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 700 block of West Clarendon Drive. Upon arrival, officers observed a black SUV leaving the scene, which was later found at a local hospital's emergency room entrance. Inside the vehicle were two male victims: 20-year-old Steven Mendoza and a 21-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
