On October 20, 2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 3100 block of Metropolitan Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old William Howard Davis lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Davis to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
