On June 14, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas, 83-year-old Gilbert "Beto" Morado was fatally shot in his home on the 5400 block of 39th Drive. According to reports, his wife recounted that they were watching television together when she heard a sudden bang, followed by her husband's groan.
