On July 2, 2023, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Houston police responded to reports of a shooting at 2200 Teague Road, near Gessner Road, in the Spring Branch area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man, later identified as Roberto Nicia, deceased with gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

Investigations revealed that a male suspect had chased Nicia across a soccer field before fatally shooting him as he attempted to flee. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to ...
