Robert Wise, a 55-year-old White/Caucasian man from Mission, Texas, was fatally shot on the night of July 10, 2023, outside McAllen Masonic Lodge No. 1110 in downtown McAllen. Wise had spent most of his life in Mission and was known as a longtime truck driver, instructor and owner of Wise CDL. He was also active in Freemasonry and had just participated in an installation ceremony at the lodge at 118 N. 11th Street.
